The DW Combo-3 Hybrid Shelter has all the benefits and features of the standard DW Hybrid unit while incorporating the added features of a Super-Seal V-Series Inflatable Shelter. This Hybrid Shelter eliminates drafts and inclement weather conditions within the loading dock area by creating an air tight seal across the full width along the top, corners and sides of the loading dock opening. The inflatable curtain air bag design also for trailers of various sizes to pass into the shelter and allow the air bag to compress along the top. Ideal for problem dock areas such as sloped and difficult driveway approaches.

The DW Combo-3 Hybrid Shelter covers a wide variety of door sizes and handles an even wider variety of trailer sizes. The head frame is made with pressure treated wood or sturdy galvanized steel tubing that will not warp, rot or twist. The resilient vertical foam pads, with removable inward vertical panels are built to yield upon impact and are less damage prone.

DW Combo-3 has a standard dimensions for door openings 10′ W x 10′ H are 11’8” W x 11′8″H with a 24” projection, and a 48” header air bag drop when inflated with 21” wide inward vertical panels.

The DW Combo-3 Hybrid Shelter seals trailers 11’6” to 13’6” high from grade with a dock height of 48”. Also seals trailers over 8′ wide. The DW Combo-3 can be designed to suit a large variety of oversized door opening heights, widths and/or dock projections.

Super Seal’s exclusive 16 oz. “Rip Stop” fabric developed specifically for inflatable products will give years of trouble free service for the DW Combo-3.

Units are supplied with 1/2 HP, 115 V, 60/50 Hz, 1400-RPM motor/blower with a manual ON/OFF switch. The motor/blower is mounted under a protective canopy constructed of either using pressure treated wood or constructed of 1- 1/2” x 1-1/2” galvanized steel tubing with galvanized side brackets and covered with galvanized cladding.

The DW Combo-3 Inflatable header air bag when retracted is stored behind a protective vinyl curtain with a 4” yellow stripe to aid in the spotting of trailers. The header framework shall be peaked to allow adequate drainage and shall be fastened to the wall by means of a galvanized steel side and strapping supports.

The vertical foam pads are constructed using kiln-dried pressurized wood, and a high density, light weight urethane foam core with 98% compression recovery and maintaining flexibility at -40 degrees. The foam core shall be continuously bonded (not spot glued) to the wood backing with a high quality, elastic adhesive. Cover fabric overlaps the wood backing, totally enclosing it, and is fastened with heavy duty plated staples. The removable vertical inward panels shall contain fiberglass stays, the top three (3) being a “Z” pattern to keep the curtain straight at all times. Vertical panels have a double layer of fabric at the leading edge impact area and a 4” wide x 14” high yellow guide stripe to aid in spotting shelters.

All stays are enclosed in multi-layer reinforcement pockets. Leading edge of vertical and header panels have a sewn in foam bead for a tight seal. Double stitched, high strength twisted 4 ply 100% polyester boned thread U.V. treated used for sewing throughout. Phantom Bottom Draft Pads included with all units. Unit to be furnished with all necessary mounting hardware, galvanized to resist corrosion. 18” – 20” projection in front of the dock bumper is recommended to provide a proper seal.
